Tall new-staff was talking. He was saying something about boxes and cages and vet visits. Now I know what a “vet visit” is. My former staffer pets me and everything is fine and then suddenly I’m wisked away in a little cage. Then uncomfortable things happen in the hands of other humans and back to the cage and back to my food dish. It makes one weary, I can tell you that. So I watched tall new-staff very carefully to make sure he wasn’t plotting to stuff me into a cage and take me to the veterinarian.
But nothing like that happened. Instead, a large box appeared one evening AND there was a red dot inside! I chased it out and nearly caught it! Apparently, this box was the hiding place for red dots. Who knew?
As it turned out, the box was also a cage and I ended up in the vet’s office several days later anyway. Oh, well. At least this cage is roomy. Of course I had to complain just to confirm my dissatisfaction with the treatment but it was really easy. I forgot to complain on the way back to the food dish.
The vet was fairly nice. All he did was stroke my coat and poke around in my fur a bit. But that helper of his was terribly rude. Something about temperature and “just right” but it didn’t feel just right to me. Happily, that didn’t last too long but it did put me a sulking mood for a bit.
The vet and tall new-staff fussed with some papers that I’ve seen folks take an interest in but I just found my way back into the cage thinking that they’d leave me alone and stop being rude to my hinder parts. It worked.
Tall new-staff took me back to my food dish.
I was okay with that and then things got back to normal.
Ahh, yes. The warmth of the buttons and pictures on the thing called screen.
And a nap. You know naps are great stress relievers, right?
