Autumn. Just Autumn.

“Autumn colors fill the skies….” That’s how the verse on the card started. It also mentioned Halloween but the underlying excitement was more about Autumn than spooks and Jack-O-Lanterns. And then hand written words from the sender alluded to memories of other Autumns. Indeed, there were hikes, sightseeing, costumes, raking of leaves, and jumping into piles of leaves. Age was not a factor in these activities but having fun was.

One such activity was visiting Williamsburg, Virginia.  A trip there in the fall is comfortable and colorful.

The shed is not much larger than my garage but the fireplace makes it a home.

These are just a few images to jog the memory.

Other visits to the area but not pictured here are various “ghost” walks and day trips. One trip included a circular walk around, well, around the main visitor center building by way of a path that we thought was taking us to the historical area. Admiring the leaves and chatting while not really paying attention to signage had us walking in circles for longer than we should have. It still brings a smile to me when I remember that.

If you’re a Kenlon and you have memory of a Williamsburg trip, you’re welcome to post it here or in an email to the site owner.
